The Maid who wanted a Pay Raise

A Mexican maid asked for a pay increase... The wife was very uptight about this and said sharply, 'Now Maria, Why makes you think you deserve a pay increase?'

Maria said humbly 'Well, Senora, there are three reasons why I think I deserve an increase. The first is that I iron better than you.'

The wife snorted. 'And just who said you iron better than me?'

Maria bowed her head a little. 'Your husband said so.'

The wife said, 'Oh.'

Maria continued, 'The second reason is that I understand I am a better cook than you.'

The wife now really is annoyed. 'Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?'

Maria cleared her throat. 'Your husband did.'

'Oh.'

Maria lifted her head a little. 'My third reason is that I am a better lover than you..'

Wife was really furious now and snapped, 'Did my husband say that as well?'

Maria smirked, 'No Senora, the gardener did.'

Wife. "So how much do you want?"
